As the very name starts with the word Rasmalai, the cake is actually adapted from a traditional exotic Bengali dessert. In the word Rasmalai, 'Ras' means juice and 'malai' means cream. The desert is actually a soft spongy cheena (paneer), you can also term it as coagulated milk cakes floating in sweet milky syrup. The syrup can be any flavour but is usually of saffron flavour. Rasmalai is believed to be originated from West Bengal: The land of divine desserts.

After the sponge is done we glide into the part of stacking. Stacking three layers of sponge and filling them up with vanilla frosting. We do not use buttercream. Then comes the part when we have to moisten the whole cake. Usually, chefs do moisten the cake with sugar syrup, but in here our talented panel of chefs came up with the brilliant idea to use Rasmalai milk. Thus the cake turned out to be a Rasmalai flavoured cake. To add some more high points to the cake, these cakes are topped with actual Rasmalai sweet and some fresh fruits. If you are thinking to experience the traditional dessert and the western desert at the same time then go for this traditionalist western cake which is a blend of both the worlds.
